How do I find my size and width?

Click on the "Shop by Size" link on the left side of this page, then click on your size. If you need a wide or narrow width, look for "W" or "N" next to the product name.

What if I don't know my women's shoe size? How do I measure my foot?

Stand in your bare feet on a sheet of plain paper

While you are standing, have someone trace each foot with a pencil

Then with a ruler measure the length from heel to longest toe, and then the width at the widest point

Feel free to email us your measurements and the styles you are considering, and we will recommend a size for you.

Please note that unless otherwise indicated, any shoe measurements provided on our website are taken from the sole of the shoe. The interior of the shoe, of course, will be slightly shorter and narrower, so please take this into account when selecting a size

How do I convert my men's shoe size to women's?

All of our shoes designated "up to 16WW" should be ordered in your usual men's dress shoe size. For instance, the Mindy Black Dress Sandal up to 16WW should be ordered in size 14WW if you wear men's 14D. For all other styles, the conversion is normally 2 sizes up in M width, and 1-2 sizes in WW width. For example, if your men's size is 13D you should order WW women's shoes in 14WW and M shoes in 15M (unless the shoe runs short, then you may need 16M).

You can also indicate your men's size in the instructions field when you place your order. Then we will make any necessary size adjustments. Or email us and we will be happy to assist you. After you become our customer, we will keep a record of your size to make the process easier in the future.

What if I don't see what I want?

We are constantly adding to our selection, so check back soon. If you have a special occasion coming up, send us an email and we can let you know if there are any suitable styles coming in.

Do you have a catalog?

Because we receive new styles every month, Dreamshoes does not produce a printed catalog. If you would prefer not to order online, we are happy to take orders over the phone during our business hours. Just call (888) 496-3131.

Is shopping on the Internet safe?

Using your credit card to buy over the Internet can be just as safe as using it to pay for dinner and a movie, as long as your internet merchant takes the right steps to ensure your security. When you place an order at Dreamshoes, your personal information and credit card data are encrypted using SSL technology (secure socket layering). This security feature turns on automatically when you begin entering your personal billing and shipping information to ensure that no one has access to it except you and Dreamshoes. At that point, most browsers will display a "lock"symbol at the bottom of the screen to verify that the security feature is working. It will also change the page name to "http://..."The "s"stands for secure.

In the unlikely event that your credit card number is misused as a result of your shopping at Dreamshoes, you will pay nothing. The Fair Credit Billing Act states that your credit card provider cannot make you pay in excess of $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If fraudulent charges do occur, Dreamshoes will pay the $50.00 on your behalf. If such an event does occur, you must notify your credit card provider immediately.

How are orders shipped?

Most orders received before 11:00 a.m. are shipped out that day or the next business day. Orders received on Saturday or Sunday will be shipped on the following business day.

We ship most of our orders via UPS. Ground orders will arrive in 1-5 business days after the item ships, depending on your location. 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air shipments are also available.

Be sure to provide an accurate shipping address including suite, floor, apartment or unit number if applicable. Inaccurate or incomplete addresses may result in delays, non-deliveries and correction charges by UPS, which will be charged to the customer's account. Refused deliveries will result in return shipping charges applied to the customer's account.

All orders that must ship to a P.O. Box or A.P.O. Box are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. In this case, delivery is usually in 2-3 days. Please email or call us for accurate pricing.

Do you ship to Canada?

We ship to Canada but orders must be placed by phone. The shipping and handling charge is $35 for one pair of shoes, or $40 for boots or two pairs of shoes. To order by phone, call 805-496-3131. If you reach our voicemail, please leave us your contact information and best times to reach you.

Do you ship orders outside the US?

Orders for delivery outside the US (except Canada) can be placed through InternationalCheckout.com

Who sees my personal information? (Privacy Policy)

When you place an order with Dreamshoes, your personal information is secured and transmitted directly to us. We use that information to verify your credit card information and get your order to you. If you choose to sign up for our newsletter, we will send approximately one email per month regarding new additions, specials, etc.

We will not sell or give your information to anyone.

We use cookies to store information about your shopping cart... products, sizes, etc. No personal information is stored in cookies.

What if I changed my mind about my order?

Just send us an email and we'll be happy to change or even cancel an order you've placed.

What sizes do you carry?

Dreamshoes carries only women's large size shoes, not just a few larger sizes. The specific sizes we offer are: 10WW, 11M, 11N, 11W, 11WW, 12M, 12N, 12W, 12WW, 13M, 13W, 13WW, 14M, 14W, 14WW, 15M, 15W, 15WW, 16M and 16WW.

Do you carry half sizes?

As you may already know, most shoe companies do not make half sizes above size 10. This does not mean you can't wear beautiful shoes. Sizing can vary among brands and even among styles within a particular brand. For example, if you are an 11 1/2, you may be able to wear a size 12 in a shoe that runs small, or an 11 in an open-toed shoe. If you are between sizes, call or email us and we can help. Of course, you can always return or exchange our shoes if they don't fit (see Guarantee and Return Policy).

What is your return policy?

Our Guarantee and Return Policy

Regularly priced merchandise: If you are unhappy with your shoes for any reason, you may return them within 30 days for a full refund or exchange, provided they are in unworn, saleable condition. Sale merchandise: sale shoes may be returned or exchanged within 14 days, provided they are in unworn, saleable condition.

If the shoe falls apart, tears, or has any other manufacturer's defect, we will gladly repair or replace it within 90 days.

Returns and shipping

While we accept returns and exchanges, we do not pay return shipping or refund shipping charges. We pass our exact shipping costs onto our customers and cannot make any refunds. However, in the case of exchanges, we will ship the replacement item to you free of charge (except in the case of a special promotion on the original order, or subsequent exchange of a replacement item, or orders shipped outside the U.S.).

Be sure to provide an accurate shipping address including suite, floor, apartment or unit number if applicable. Inaccurate or incomplete addresses may result in delays, non-deliveries and correction charges by UPS, which will be charged to the customer's account. Refused deliveries will result in return shipping charges applied to the customer's account.

Return instructions

In order to receive credit for your return or exchange, you must follow the instructions below.

1. Please repack the shoe boxes in a box with packing materials (as they were sent to you). Shoe boxes damaged in shipping as a result of poor packing or shoes shipped back in the actual shoe box will be charged a $10/pair restocking fee.

Email return label: For your convenience, we can email you a UPS return label for $9.99 for a single pair of shoes (11.99 for boots or 2 pairs of shoes). Insurance is included. Apply the label to the package and drop off at any UPS Store location.

Or use any shipping method of your choice. We recommend insurance for your protection. If you are exchanging for another pair, we will send the replacement item to you free of charge (except for international orders and subsequent exchanges of previously exchanged items).

2. Please enclose a copy of the original packing list or invoice. Indicate on the packing list or invoice whether the shipment is a RETURN or EXCHANGE. If the shipment is an exchange, please indicate what style (with color and size) you would like to exchange the item for. Without this information we will not know whose account to credit for the return.

Why don't you offer free shipping?

Shipping is a cost of doing business that is passed on to the consumer either by charging for shipping, or adding the charge to the price of the shoes. At Dreamshoes, our shipping charges are based on weight and distance. We pass on shipping costs to each customer and do not add a surcharge to the price of the shoes. You will notice that it costs almost the same to ship 2 pairs of shoes as one.

What brands do you carry?

Tate Shoes, the maker of David Tate and Siamanto, is based in California and specializes in high quality dress and casual shoes for women up to size 15WW. All Tate Shoes offer a surprising level of comfort, with cushioning built into the insole. We offer Tate Shoes in women's size 11 to 15, in M, N, W and WW widths. Moda Spana and Pelle Moda can be found in select department stores around the country, offering up-to-the-minute fashion, up to women's size 13. Dreamshoes carries Moda shoes in women's size 11, 12 and 13. Magdesians are made in the USA and offer an extensive size and width range in dress shoes up to women's size 14, including wide and extra wide widths. Magdesians are available at Dreamshoes from women's size 13 to 15, in N, M, W and WW widths. Sofft is a new fashion comfort line from the makers of Born shoes. Sofft shoes offer superior comfort construction along with more fashionable styles and colors, up to women's size 13. Dreamshoes carries Sofft shoes in size 10N, 10W, 11M, 11W, 11N, 12M and 13M. Wide and narrow are available up to size 11. Softspots are a fashionable line of comfort shoes with Pillow top insoles, available in women's size 10N, 10W, 10WW, 11M, 11N, 11W, 11WW, 12M, 12W and 12WW. Samanta Shoes, offering luxurious comfort, are now available in size 11 to 14, with some narrow and wide width styles. Barefoot Tess is a new line offering flat and mid heel styles up to size 14 and 15.

What is Dreamshoes doing to help the environment?

At Dreamshoes, we try to minimize our impact on the environment whenever possible. Not only do we recycle, we reuse paper products. Your order is packed with minimal or no packing material, and sometimes in a reused box. When you exchange a pair of shoes, we will ship the replacement pair to you in the same box, instead of a new one. We do not purchase styrofoam or plastic filler material, but we will reuse any received by us.
